3. Scope of Services
Keith's Bee Service provides humane honey bee removal and relocation, along with removal and control of wasps, yellow jackets, hornets, Mexican honey wasps, carpenter bees, ground and miner bees, and cicada killer wasps, for residential and commercial properties in the greater Austin and San Antonio metro areas of Central Texas. Live honey bee colonies are removed intact wherever the structure allows and relocated to a managed apiary rather than sprayed or destroyed.
Any description of work given before an on-site inspection is an estimate based on the information you provide. Colonies inside walls, chimneys, soffits, and other enclosed cavities cannot be fully assessed until the cavity is opened, so the scope of work, the extent of any repair, and the time required may change once the hive is exposed. We will tell you before we proceed if what we find differs materially from what was discussed.
4. Scheduling, Access & Cancellation
Appointment windows are estimates. Weather, swarm season volume, and emergency calls can move a scheduled visit, and we will contact you when that happens. You agree to provide safe, unobstructed access to the work area, to secure pets, and to keep children and bystanders clear of the site while work is underway.
Please give us as much notice as you reasonably can if you need to cancel or reschedule. If our crew arrives and cannot access the work area, or nobody is present when access is required, the visit may need to be rescheduled.
5. Estimates & Payment
Pricing depends on the location of the colony, how the structure must be opened to reach it, the size of the hive, and the work needed to seal the entry point afterward. You will be given the price for your job before work begins. Payment is due on completion of the work unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
6. Guarantee
Honey bee removals include a one-year guarantee against the colony returning to the same cavity, provided the entry point we sealed has not been altered, damaged, or reopened, and provided any repair work we recommended was carried out. The guarantee covers a return of bees to that specific location; it does not cover a new colony establishing itself somewhere else on the property.
7. Limitation of Liability
Reaching a colony often requires opening a wall, soffit, ceiling, or other structure, and some access damage is unavoidable. You authorize the access work reasonably necessary to complete the removal you have requested. To the fullest extent permitted by Texas law, Keith's Bee Service is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to a job is limited to the amount you paid for that job.
Stinging insects are wildlife and behave unpredictably. We take every reasonable precaution, but we cannot guarantee that no stings will occur, and we ask that you follow our instructions about staying clear of the work area.
8. Website Content
Information on this website, including our blog, is general guidance about bees and stinging insects and is not a substitute for an on-site assessment. Do not rely on it in place of professional help with an active colony, and never approach a hive or nest if you or anyone nearby has a known sting allergy.
9. Intellectual Property
All content, branding, logos, and materials on our website and communications are the property of Keith's Bee Service or its licensors and may not be used or reproduced without permission.
10. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised “Effective Date.” Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or the services described in them will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full effect.
